Mark Aniello is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Effex, Inc. He previously served as President and CEO of Environmental Compliance and Remediation, Inc. (ECR, Inc.), where he led the company through a successful merger with KPA, Inc. in October 2015, subsequently serving as Senior Director of Business Development. In this role, Mark was instrumental in shaping the company’s vision and driving growth through client-focused strategies and innovative initiatives.
With over 35 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety, Mark is a recognized expert in regulatory compliance and risk assessment. His in-depth understanding of global, national, and state regulatory frameworks has made him a trusted advisor to organizations navigating today’s complex compliance environment. He has provided guidance to clients across diverse sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, and administration.
Mark’s experience encompasses conducting comprehensive environmental health and safety compliance audits, loss control evaluations, and ergonomics assessments. He holds several prestigious professional certifications, including membership in the National Registry of Environmental Professionals (REPA-817367), certification as an Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer (CESCO-271667), and credentials as an OSHA Outreach Trainer under the U.S. Department of Labor. He is also a certified ISO 14000 Environmental Management System Lead Auditor and has served as an advisory board and safety council member for the Associated General Contractors of California.
Mark holds a B.S. in Chemistry/Marine Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology, has completed a three-year graduate internship at the University of Malaya in Southeast Asia, and pursued advanced coursework in Hazardous Material Management at the University of California, Berkeley.
